The strategy was successful because when a couple brought their dog to the pub a few days later, a sharp-eyed local recognized the dog from the photo and thought he might have been stolen.
“I don’t know how I came to this decision, but something just didn’t feel right to me,” the bartender admitted. According to the owner, the suspect misled law enforcement by claiming to have found the dog that morning on Facebook.
