This is the story of a clever and perceptive dog who acted quickly to rescue the life of a baby dolphin. The fearless springer spaniel Laia, who had guided her owner there with her bark, attracted the dolphin’s attention after it had been swept onto the shoreline by the current.
While Tom and his owner were strolling down the beach in Crlxlet, Wales, Tom’s dog, Leah, began barking and attempting to get their owner’s attention. Tom enjoys taking pictures for fun.
The young dolphin washed up on the coast by the tide as he chased the dog.
The man later acknowledged that he had planned to capture the stunning seascapes of the day with his camera, but Laia kept getting in the way by barking and smelling a dolphin from a distance.
Tom previously thought it to be a young shark, but upon closer examination, he realized it was actually a dolphin. Thanks to Tom and the dog, he was successfully released to the deep oceans, and he and the dog stayed on the coast for an additional hour to check on the dolphin.
