Here comes a story about a woman who built her own unique chicken coop. As she explains.

“I mostly used free and found objects, and it was inspired by Romani caravans. I made a small version of a Romani caravan since I’ve always adored its design and functionality. Due to my limited resources, I set a challenge for myself to use only free or inexpensive goods.”

She simply bought the round stained glass window (found at a flea market for $5!) and some random hardware, along with the utility wagon (used), an electric coop door, and the carved medallions for the wheel hubs, and the electric coop door. A few free oak headboards, an old doll cradle, an old farm gate, some cast-off cedar shingles, and scrap wood were used to MacGyve the remaining pieces.

She also describes the building process by sharing some photos.

She states that not only she but also her chickens are delighted with the results.
