We recently adopted Liebchen, a curious orange cat, from the Rifle Animal Shelter in the Aspen, Colorado, area.
The owner said, “The cat expressed the wish to go outside and explore the moment we brought him home. At the age of ten weeks, Liebchen went on his first hike!
They named the cat Liebchen which in German means “sweetheart”. My mother had a cat named Liebchen when she was about my age.
He now travels everywhere with them on adventures!
Of all the activities they engage in with him, hiking is his favorite. He enjoys exploring the desert or the forests. He enjoys leaping off of logs and rocks.
He adores exploring new locations and discovering unusual plants, insects, and creatures.
He enjoys skiing with us, but the season isn’t always accessible. ” He travels in our backpack or on our shoulders and sticks his tiny face in the breeze. He adores the feel of the wind in his fur, naps on the chairlift or gondola, and making new friends.” the owner mentioned.
On Instagram, Liebchen has more than 50,000 followers; on Tiktok, he has 33,000.
In the end, they advised “Before purchasing a pet, we urge everyone to think about rescuing and adopting from a shelter. Each year, millions of animals enter the market and have the potential to become your best friend.”
