The RSPCA sent a team of officers to look into a report that numerous rabbits were not being properly cared for. They were stunned by what they encountered when they arrived.

In addition to being housed in confined, claustrophobic, and filthy surroundings, the 47 rabbits were Flemish giants, which meant that many of them were absolutely enormous.
According to the RSPCA, the largest of the group weighed about 18 pounds and was about the size of a medium-sized dog, “such as a Jack Russell terrier or King Charles spaniel.”

The bunnies weren’t being treated with the respect they demanded, and their cages were much too small to house them. After being saved, a veterinarian checked each one of them to make sure their health was good.
“These poor bunnies were living in cramped and unclean conditions which would have been rather unpleasant for them, especially in the heat,” said Trevor Walker, an inspector with the RSPCA, in a news release. They are all healthy, which is a blessing; one of them is taking medicine for weepy eyes and a cut on the back of his neck.
The rabbits are all doing quite well under the RSPCA’s care, with the exception of a few minor difficulties. After they’ve had some time to settle in and decompress, they will all be offered for adoption.

Walker hoped that they would “find loving homes.” They have an excellent temperament, therefore they will make good companion animals.
Despite the fact that some of the bunnies are bigger than most people might think, they are sure to become wonderful additions to a lot of fortunate households with the right study and care. These sweet giants are looking for their everlasting homes and are in need of love.
