A teacher’s tearful farewell to a stray dog has the best ending.

A Good Samaritan took in the 4-month-old stray who had been living on the streets of New Orleans. But under the circumstances, he had to decide between losing his own home and finding the wonderful puppy a new home.

The Villalobos Rescue Center wrote on Facebook, “The little kid had been rescued as a stray and this father, who was also a teacher at a New Orleans school, took this precious young child home to care for him.” However, it was short-lived because his landlord ordered him to get rid of the puppy after learning the situation.

The man went to the rescue’s Clairborne location and waited for someone to arrive so he could explain the tragic circumstances. He did this because he believed it would be best for the sweet pit bull mix. Fortunately, they were able to comprehend and intervene.

The man asked for a brief opportunity to say goodbye, but nobody anticipated Scholar’s adorable response.

The rescue team named the dog Scholar in honor of the instructor who took such good care of him.

“Together, we hope their tale can impact lives, open minds, and educate that collectively, we can make a difference even if it’s just for a minute,” the piece stated.

Scholar is doing well while being fostered by a caring rescue worker. The dog will soon join the Pet Pack Rescue Operation, which is run by the teachers.
