The family was relocating, so Oliver the cat made the decision to go on an adventure the one day he had to return home.

The family looked in every crevice, but they could not find the cat, and with time running out, they were forced to make the difficult decision to go without him.
Max, a 9-year-old who had adopted Oliver from an animal shelter two years ago when he was just a kitten, was horrified by this.

Every weekend, the family went back to look for the cat, but they always came away empty-handed. Halie Kutscher, the mother, said “it was heartbreaking,” but she kept holding out hope.
The child, who prayed for his cat to return home every night, found solace in a ginger cat Beanie Baby. It appears that those prayers were heard.

Oliver vanished over two months ago, and then an orange cat showed up on their lawn. Oliver’s moniker was called out by Halie, and the cat responded right away.

Oliver had returned. He was immediately recognized by all of their other animals, and a vet confirmed it was actually their cat after scanning his microchip.

The cat accomplished the journey of a lifetime and managed to locate its loved ones. The family is overjoyed to be together again and exhorts everyone to microchip their dogs.
