The 10-week-old puppy, now known as Tahani, astonished adoption center staff members at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) adoption center in Boston, USA, with her piercing blue eyes and uncommon chocolate brown coat.
Tahani, a Pomsky (a hybrid between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian), arrived at the shelter last month with what seemed to be a fractured leg; volunteers think it was sustained while she was playing with her mother and brothers.

The breeder had planned to sell the puppy, which is said to cost £3,800, but due to her injury, it was decided that she would be given up for adoption.
The MSPCA’s Boston adoption center associate director, Anna Rafferty-Foré, stated: “Our shelter vets offered pain medication while we awaited the findings of the x-rays, which verified the fracture.

We’re also changing the bandage on her leg around once per week, which will help us monitor how rapidly she’s recovering.
The manager of the adoption center is presently caring for Tahani, who must wear a splint for the next four weeks. It is hoped that she may soon find a loving home after that.

Tahani is being cared for by Victoria Odynsky, the manager of the adoption center. She said: “Taking her home was an easy decision because she’s so lovely, and we felt recuperating in a calm home instead of a noisy adoption center could only assist with her rehabilitation.”
