Black lab Baylie, who is three and a half years old, weighed a whopping 57kg, leaving his Leeds-based owners Margaret and Patrick Evans baffled.
However, after starting Baylie on a raw food diet, their cherished dog has lost 1.5 stones, or the equivalent of roughly four Chihuahuas, as seen in these amazing photos.

Margaret, 55, a production assistant for automobile tires, said, “We didn’t realize how huge he had gotten until we arrived to the vet. I thought his weight was becoming a problem.
“Baylie has reduced pound after pound since we altered the food; he is an entirely new dog!”
Baylie has lived with Margaret and Patrick since he was nine weeks old, and his weight loss issue began when they began rewarding his behavior with goodies.

He was even seen hopping onto the kitchen counter to eat biscuits straight from the box after discovering where the biscuit tin was stored.
However, Baylie also has hip dysplasia, a joint condition that affects Labradors, so when he fell while out for a stroll, he was rendered immobile.
Margaret decided to sign up after seeing an advertisement for the trial of a new diet for dogs on Facebook. She then eagerly awaited the commencement of the new regimen, called The Lucky Dog Weight Loss Plan.

She calculated the ideal daily food amounts for Baylie based on his weight and the amount of weight he needed to shed.
It meant switching from his typical processed diet and sugary sweets to low-fat meats, exactly like a person attempting to lose weight.
Therefore, we advised lean raw meats such as free-range chicken, wild rabbit, and turkey while avoiding beef and lamb. Dogs don’t need a lot of our treats—which are made entirely of the air-dried liver—to feel like they’ve had one.
He currently weighs barely 47kg after losing eight kilograms in just eight weeks.
