The cat that got stuck in the watering can cause more problems for herself by dissipating into thin air.

Mya, a 16-month-old tortoise shell pet, discovered her love of misadventure when she needed to be rescued from the watering can. The amusing photo of her plight won the hearts of the brave firefighters who helped her.

Charlotte King, the owner, is now concerned that Mya may have found herself in a similar situation away from home without someone to assist her.

Mandy and Charlotte searched their garden for her one evening when she failed to arrive. They hoped she would return soon, but with no luck, they left her food out.

I’m particularly frightened about what she might have gotten up to this time. She climbs up trees, then when she has to descend, she just meows.

She has become nearly indestructible in the watering can and has spent the past 12 months squeezed under fences, stuck up trees, and imprisoned on top of shed roofs.
Every week, Charlotte spends hours attempting to pull her out of the treetop branches where she has ascended but is unable to descend.

Charlotte and her mother Mandy, 46, are fighting to get Mya home and are hoping that a public plea will result in her return. At the moment, Missy, Charlotte’s other cat, is aching to have her back.

“Her small head peeked out of the watering can as I was wondering where she was after hearing her meow.

Using a pair of tin snips, hand-held cutters, and chopping through the side of the watering can, the firefighters successfully freed Mya while the cat used up one of her nine lives and managed to escape unharmed.

So this is how they get along.
