Master-at-Arms of the US Navy When Dawn Patterson returned to the United States after her deployment, she was compelled to leave her pet behind in Bahrain.
Master-at-Arms of the US Navy Dawn Patterson wants assistance finding her pet kitten, which she saved while serving abroad.

According to a press release from the NGO Paws of War, Patterson was unable to take her cat, Mr. Grumpuss, with her when she departed Bahrain to return to Virginia for a new deployment because of logistical issues.
During her fourth foreign tour, the Navy service woman saved Mr. Grumpuss, who was given that name because of his recognizable grumpy expression.

The stray cat was found by her, and she helped bring it back to health while becoming close to the pet.
Patterson is working with Paws of War, a nonprofit that supports service personnel and their pets, to raise money to get the cat to the country and manage the challenging logistics of sending the animal abroad.

In the meanwhile, he continued, “We were fortunate to have someone foster the cat while we work to raise the monies and make the arrangements to securely get Mr. Grumpuss home and reunited with his Navy officer.”
After 17 years in the Navy, Patterson is looking forward to seeing Mr. Grumpuss again.
