A video game console designed for dogs might aid pet parents in the early detection of canine dementia.

To identify canine health and behavior issues before they worsen, Joipaw has developed a tracker and video gaming console for dogs.

A business is using video games to combat canine dementia.

A tracker designed by Joipaw can measure a dog’s health and comes with a gaming console that collects information on the emotional status of the animal.

Dogs wear the Joipaw tracker on their collars, allowing the device to monitor their movements — including their steps and the amount of time they spend resting, playing, and walking — and send the information to an app.

The Joipaw app allows dog owners to check on the health of their pets based on information from the tracker and console. The software also provides alerts when anything unusual is found, such as the early stages of canine dementia or joint problems.

Joipaw stated that their methodology is based on decades of research into canine cognition and animal-computer interaction, as well as years of experience in both hardware and software.

Avdar stated, “our mission with this project is to show the world how intelligent dogs are because we humans tend to empathize and take better care of others when we realize they’re closer to us than we think. Our goal with this project is to help dogs live healthier lives through bonding with their owners.”
