For these dogs, puppy mills are a thing of the past.
On an aircraft for a second chance, more than 70 dogs and puppies from puppy mills and commercial breeders in the Midwest.

The BISSELL Pet Foundation organized a rescue flight from Missouri to Connecticut that included French Bulldogs, poodles, Shih Tzus, Shiba Inus, Klee Kais, and other canines. Many shelters in Missouri are already overflowing with acceptable animals.
When the dogs arrived in Connecticut, rescuers from all over the Northeast welcomed them and assisted them at the beginning of their adoption process.

Transported to shelters in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island with space to care for the puppies until they find homes where the former puppy mill dogs are.
The BISSELL Pet Foundation wants to encourage people to adopt a pet by using this rescue flight and its endearing passengers.

“The excitement of receiving these commercially bred dogs will draw families into the shelter who may not have previously considered adoption, allowing all creatures in their care a chance to be taken into consideration, according to Cathy Bissell, the founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. In order to address the continuous need, we are dedicated to continuing this endeavor.”
