After 6 Years at a California Shelter, a Rescue Dog Called “Very Calm, Gentle” is Still Seeking a Home.

Chesbro was brought to the Humane Society of the Desert when he was around six months old after being discovered wandering the desert alone, according to Cali Trevino, who manages social media marketing for the shelter.

Chesbro has been waiting to leave the Humane Society of the Desert with his perfect forever family for more than six years.

The rescue dog has worked hard to develop into the gregarious dog he is now. Chesbro was a stray dog who had spent the previous six months had little to no human contact when he came to the Humane Society of the Desert. When first meeting potential, Chesbro was understandably reserved and shy.

Chesbro has undergone training and grown more social as a result of the tireless efforts of devoted volunteers; he now actively seeks out human attention. He isn’t an extroverted dog, though.

“Frequently, when adopters arrive, they are looking for a really cuddly, social dog who immediately sits on their lap. That results in Chesbro being disregarded. He is a little reserved with strangers unless you offer him a few tasty treats, “Regarding Chesbro’s up to this point futile search for a home, Trevino added.
Chesbro is a pet who enjoys eating, vehicle journeys, and swimming, so whoever decides to adopt him will be blessed. Chesbro likes to hang out with other dogs, especially calm dogs like himself.

The Humane Society of the Desert is optimistic that Chesbro will find the ideal forever home and hopes that his tale will encourage animal lovers to consider adopting more difficult-to-place animals because all animals deserve to be loved and cared for.
