Romeo Cox and his father Phil embarked on a 93-day journey from Palermo to London in order to visit Romeo’s grandmother, Rosemary.
They traversed Italy, Switzerland, and France on foot while having some incredible adventures and taking some risks along the route.

While traveling, they had to contend with packs of stray dogs in Rome and tame wild donkeys in England. The journey was not easy. They had to sleep in a variety of places along the road, including churches, hostels, campgrounds, and even on the floors of strangers’ homes.
However, they were fortunate to meet more kind people along the way who provided them with a hot meal and a place to stay. Romeo was missing his grandmother, which made the journey both physically and emotionally taxing for him.

Following a 14-day journey, Romeo finally got to see his grandmother. When the family arrived home, the Southborough Road neighbors greeted them with boisterous applause. Several neighbors joined Romeo and his father Phil as they were making their way from Trafalgar Square to Rosemary’s house.

After then, they organized a little celebration with cake and champagne. Romeo there recounted the exciting tale of his adventure. Romeo and his father’s resolve was bolstered by the outing, which also brought them closer to Rosemary and the community.
