Family members in Brazil were heartbroken after losing their dog. He was finally found a few days later. That’s what they thought, anyway. At the end of January, José Eduardo Millani Ramos was walking with Ikki when he had no idea what was about to happen.
To the owner’s chagrin, the dog that trotted behind him disappeared. A part of me was taken away when he disappeared, said the man to the Dodo. It was important for me to know what had happened to him. In the streets, José and his family started searching for their beloved four-legged friend.
Unfortunately, Ikki could not be found. After two days of intensive research, the family received good news. There was a post on social media about a stray dog being rescued. Family members recognized their dog’s spots. José went to retrieve the animal. As I shouted his name, he ran towards me and kept licking me.
Despite being filthy, the dog’s tail was wagging happily. As he returned home, he played with his relatives and behaved perky. It was only here, despite these touching reunions, that there was a hiccup.
The spots on José’s back did not match those on Ikki’s: the dog he brought home was an imposter! Even though the Ramos were shocked by their discovery, they decided to keep Paolo. They resumed their search for the real Ikki since she was still missing.
