A kind-hearted nurse saves a terminally ill patient’s dog from a shelter by adopting him

It can be difficult to find a new home for a dog after its owner dies. In addition to losing his owner, the dog must also find someone to love again.

It is not an easy task. Fortunately, one dog found a kind owner in a nurse. Kim Still works as a nurse at a Georgia hospital. She had a very close relationship with an old woman who was near death. After feeling that she was dying, the woman only worried about one thing: what would happen to her Chihuahua dog named Jax. The only thing she had was her dog. She had no children, no family, no close friends.

After the patient died, Kim was advised to give the dog to a shelter. Kim worried that the dog would have difficulty finding a home and would probably be euthanized. Kim made a wonderful decision after constantly considering what would await the unfortunate dog. As a result, she decided to adopt a dog of her own. Kim adopted Jax from the shelter believing that he would have a better life that way. She knew her dog would be in good hands and was able to die peacefully now that she knew she was in good hands.

Kim felt this was the best help she could give her patient before she passed away. It is even more important than taking care of her health. A doctor and patient can have such a close relationship, Kim said. She just changed her life because of this woman. Jax’s new home is not even on Kim’s mind. Her first impression of the dog was love at first sight.

He is the most loving dog in the world and I will never give him up. Kim’s kindness was not unrewarded. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was presented to her.
