A family from Texas sat in the car for 12 hours while their dog gave birth in the warmth

Miracles happen when we try to do them ourselves. By all canons, Maggie, like her unborn puppies, should not have survived this winter. The story turned out differently – thanks to the efforts of a Texas family, which became famous online. A month ago, Maggie was found pregnant on the streets of Fredericksburg

Maggie was placed in a shelter, washed and treated, and then transferred to the Morgan family by volunteers. She has three dogs, but she was not involved in the birth of puppies. Nevertheless, Aubrey has watched a bunch of videos and purchased everything she needs to prepare for childbirth. After shock frosts hit Texas, the electricity and heat in the house went out. When Maggie went into labor, the temperature in the house was already below freezing.

There is nothing pleasant about giving birth in frost, but it is a relatively safe phenomenon in the wild. In the first few days of life, puppies require a lot of warmth, and if they become cold, they become lethargic, lose their appetite, and that’s it. When there was nowhere to warm themselves, Aubrey and her husband desperately tried to figure out how to warm the puppies. The attempts to boil water and pour it into bags, as well as to close and warm one room, failed.

In order to save money, the family decided to move into a car with a stove. The birth continued!

Three puppies are already in the car after being born in the house. The family sat inside for 12 hours after everything happened late at night to ensure the puppies were okay. Where do we go from here? Due to the lack of electricity and heat, and the forecasts being disappointing, Aubrey’s husband drove their car to their parents’ house. After 45 minutes of travel, people and animals were both under roofs and warm!

After the puppies regained energy, the family took them to the veterinarian. Daisy, Poppy, Ash, Rosie, Dahlia, Clover, and Astra were the names of the babies. Without people’s help, things would have turned out much more tragically. No matter who you are, don’t forget to serve others!
