Hope For Paws received a call from Animal Control one day.
According to them, a stray dog lives in the mountains and sometimes comes to residential buildings looking for food. Since they had already failed to catch the dog several times, they asked for help. Rescuers found an emaciated, balding, and extremely frightened dog.
In order to help this poor man, they had to do everything in their power. There was a great deal of fear and caution on the part of the animal. Using an appetizing lure, the volunteers lured the dog! Despite being nervous, Doggie couldn’t resist a delicious, flavorful cheeseburger! A rescuer handed the dog a treat, and the dog ate it right from her hand as she came closer.
A rescuer sneaked up on the animal while the animal was distracted and caught her in a “trap She was in shock at first, tried to run away and escape, but after a few minutes she calmed down and understood that these people were trying to help her. As she finished her cheeseburger, she offered her head to the volunteers so they could scratch behind her ear. Edna was named by the rescuers after the sweet beauty they rescued. As soon as the dog arrived at the shelter, it was scanned for a microchip. Edna turned out to have a chip!
Her original owner had given the dog to a new family, who apparently just disposed of it. The previous owner was notified that the pet had passed away. It’s been two years since then! Despite being glad she was still alive, Edna’s first owner could not take her and asked the shelter staff to find her a good home. It didn’t take long for the beauty to take root in the shelter and make many friends. After Edna’s arrival, a family adopted her. Her ashen color and innocent eyes attracted the couple. Edna can begin a new life now that she has a chance!
