Megyn Scott-Hintz, a Texas resident, found a sick kitten on the street and decided to take it home.

In spite of living with Megyn for many years, Pickles spent most of his time outdoors and only came inside to eat and rest.
The semi-wild and unsociable cat suddenly became sensitive and caring when he met Garfield. Playing with, cleaning, protecting, and even putting his brother to sleep, Pickles took care of his little brother. Garfield had more health issues than his new owner expected, and he needed to be taken to the vet for a while. Pickles was overjoyed to see the kitten when he returned home.
The more Pickles cared for Garfield after his return, the more active he became.
