The star of Don’t Worry, Darling wore a sheer two-piece outfit from Valentino on Oct. 2, showing off her body without a bra. It’s safe to trust the button. “#Valentino,” Pugh captioned an Instagram photo of herself wearing a crop top and a high-waisted skirt.
Following her appearance in a see-through pink tulle gown at Valentino’s haute couture fall/winter fashion show on 8 July 2022 in Rome, Pugh spoke out about individuals who criticised her for wearing sheer garments. Later, she revealed on Instagram: When I wore that magnificent Valentino gown, I knew there would be criticism. Whether it was beneficial or harmful, we all knew what we were doing.
Being able to wear it made me ecstatic and not the least bit frightened. Before, during, or after, I wasn’t. Observing and witnessing how easy it is for guys to completely destroy a woman’s body in public is fascinating. Do you even include your job titles and work emails in your bio? Certainly this isn’t the first time a woman hears what’s wrong with her body from a crowd of strangers; what is concerning is how vulgar some of you males can be.
I’ve accepted the complexities of my body as part of what makes me, well, me. When I was 14, I couldn’t tolerate seeing my ‘flaws’. Now I’m okay with them. Many of you were unhappy with my ‘small tits’ or thought I should be embarrassed for being so flat chested. My body has been with me for a long time. Although I am aware of my breast size, I am not concerned about it.
The more troubling part is… What makes you so afraid of breasts? Is it small? Is it large? What’s left? Is that right? Does there only exist one? Maybe none at all? What is so frightening about this. Is it because of the size of my boobs and body that you are so fascinated with them? I am grateful to have grown up in a family of strong, powerful, curvy women. Our creases were taught to be a source of strength. Speaking out about one’s comfort. Whenever somebody expects my body to become an image of what’s hot or sexually attractive, I say ‘fuck that and fuck that’.
Because I was aware, I wore that clothing. You don’t know why being publically abusive to women in 2022 is so easy for you. Put on a pair of shoes. Respect should be shown to people. Human bodies should be respected. Respect should be accorded to all women. Respect must be shown to humans.I promise that things will get better soon. I owe it all to two adorable little nipples… Oh my gosh!
