A loud noise in the backyard woke Madeline Mills up in early September.

When she awoke, she suspected that Milly and Tonka had been injured. Madeline went outside to find the puppy vomiting and the five-year-old dog having diarrhea. In an instant, Milly went limp and fainted. Out of concern, Madeline brought both dogs into the house.

Then Madeline noticed a long brown snake on the grass. A poisonous substance had been injected into Milly. Taking a photo of the snake, Madeline immediately took both dogs to the nearest veterinary clinic.

In addition to Milly’s nose, legs, chest, and neck, she had a lot of bleeding bites. Examinations and blood tests confirmed Tonka was not injured. The veterinary surgical center treated Milly for four days. She fought desperately for her life despite her critical condition.

It took Tonka only one night to be monitored, and he was able to go home after that. There were no serious health problems with the puppy. As Milly protects the puppy, Madeline and her husband are certain that Milly saved the puppy’s life. With just one bite, Tonka could have been killed. After four weeks of treatment and rehabilitation, the dog returned home. Even though she still has difficulty walking, she is already playing. The snake attack took several years out of the dog’s life, but Madeline says the worst is over.

Her gratitude goes out to the pet for his courage and dedication. The snake that made its way into their yard could kill not only a puppy, but also a person. Madeline and her husband saved Milly from life on the streets once, and she repaid them with loyalty to the fullest extent.
