In the aftermath of a terrible fire, a dog that lost all of his hair became a psychotherapist and won a competition

After surviving a terrible fire, Taka helps others who were also affected by it. In October 2018, Taka and his owners’ home went up in flames. While stranded on the fire porch, Taka sustained burns and several injuries.

Veterinarians and “human” doctors helped save the dog’s life. Crystal Lesley, a veterinarian, visited him on weekends for the next month and a half.

After his discharge from the hospital, Taka was taken to Crystal’s house by the previous owners, who were unable to provide him with the necessary medical attention. It took a long time for the dog to recover after the fire left him with severe burns and hair loss.

Crystal decided to train him as a therapy dog, despite the fact that he was still a happy dog who loved to play. Currently, Taka participates in burn victim recovery programs. Only recently has Taka gained enough confidence in the new owner to visit her on the sofa and lie next to her.

Taka’s owner takes him to dog events where he becomes a celebrity, and he maintains a Facebook page detailing his challenging journey.
