A rough past plagued Odin, an Alaskan Malamute. His condition was terrible when he was found. As opposed to having a thick coat of black and white fur, he had almost no fur.

He smelled bad because he had infected skin, which was covered with wounds. Apparently, he had starved of hunger for a long time because he was so thin. Odin’s teeth were broken and cracked. It looked like such a miserable creature. A day later, he was rescued by the workers of the Southern Pines Animal Shelter, and his life has changed forever. Some heartless breeders chained up and neglected Odin and several dogs. A loving sweet home, a caring family, and urgent help were all he needed.

He was adopted by Sidney Shelkopf. Odin was frightened and confused when he arrived at her house. All of this was so unfamiliar to him, as if he had never been inside a house before. Unlike the other dogs, he stayed in the same spot for weeks and refused to play with his foster mother or toys.

Within two days, he gradually began to come out of his shell. The second day, he climbed onto Sidney’s bed, throwing his bony body next to her and gazing at her with sad eyes. Eventually, Odin felt at home.

Odin transformed into a beautiful dog with a precious and adorable look after several months. It was amazing to see how he transformed. There was a lot of fluff on his skin, and he looked healthy. It was the end of the bad days and tough past. Only his broken teeth needed to be fixed. It was Sidney who helped the majestic dog be healthy and happy, to be loved instead of ignored.
