After filming his dog’s astonished reaction to learning that she will be a big sister, a devoted owner was reduced to tears.
With their nine-month-old Weimaraner puppy, Raegan, Jacob Holbrook, 23, decided to take a picture of his girlfriend, Katie Gillum, 24, showing off her growing baby belly.
Katie, who is 25 weeks pregnant, told the dog that she will be a “big sister” while snapping the picture.
To the couple’s amazement, their dog’s response was not what they had anticipated; instead, she initially appeared stunned, then she showed signs of concern.
“Our aim was to get a lovely picture with Raegan sitting in front of Katie, looking at her baby bulge,” said Jacob, a resident of Russell, Kentucky, in the US.
She asked me to take pictures of her growing baby belly so she could publish an update, but I ended up with these priceless images.
We both immediately started giggling as we scrolled through them, so I knew those would be the ones I used.
As Raegan is involved in everything we do, we can’t wait to snap more progress shots, hopefully when the news has had time to sink in for her.
“We can’t wait to watch Raegan grow up with our little one too! She’s fantastic with kids!”
