A cat almost ruined a wedding by eating the flowers while the bride and groom were out of the house.

Before the owners’ wedding, the cat, named Minnie, made the decision to plan a surprise for them. The cat poisoned herself by ingesting a piece of a bridal bouquet that was given to the couple by coworkers.

Minnie consumed white flowers, which are poisonous to cats. Even at relatively low doses, renal failure can be fatal. The owners briefly left the cat alone in the house with the flowers.

When they returned, they saw pollen around the cat’s nose and mouth, allowing them to react promptly and inform the doctors.

Blood was drawn to be tested while Minnie was under anesthetic. Hemodialysis was then carried out as one of the extra-renal blood purification methods. Just 36 hours before the wedding, the cat’s rehabilitation started.

The veterinarian continued, “I’ve handled many pet catastrophes, but none like this.”
On the other hand, Minnie recovered quickly, and the couple found out she was healthy on the wedding day. The bride later told the physicians that she had sobbed in relief upon learning that her cat was OK.
