A rescued cat has a strange illness that causes her hair color to change, making her appear to be a different cat.

When Elle and her sister were four months old, Nichelle first met them at a close-by ranch. Their situation required prompt medical attention.

They had to deal with ticks and ear infections while being unneeded. Nicole explains, “That hurt my eyes to look at it, so I brought them both to my house.”

The woman was considering purchasing a cat at the moment, but she had not anticipated finding cats in this way. Elle was so nice and pleasant throughout the process.

When Nichelle noticed a tiny white sliver in Elle’s black fur at nine months old, she had a sneaking hunch that something odd was happening. The woman remembers, “I thought something was sticking to her and tried to remove it, but it turned out to be her own fur.”

In an effort to understand more about the source of the color change, Nichelle brought the cat to the clinic.

Elle was surprised to see that vitiligo, an interesting but not fatal condition, had altered the pigmentation of her fur. Elle is nonchalant about the changes; she appears to be having a good time. Nichelle describes her as ‘very lovely.’
