Simba the Samoyed is skilled at chilling through brushes, strokes, and other distractions and has a beauty regimen to rival anyone in Beverley Hills. Despite his dislike of water, he’s also quite happy to give owners Sam Kuhner and Mel Xabregas a few kisses as they comb, shampoo, whiten, condition, blow dry, and fluff him.

To maintain the healthy coat of their 18-month-old dog Simba, Sam, 31, and Mel, 27, created a four-hour canine beauty regimen.
Although they acknowledge that Simba’s slightly exaggerated rule also contributes to his resemblance to the Lion King character he is named for.
Mel, a physiotherapist from Sydney, Australia, remarked: “We both decided right away it should be his name as soon as we saw Simba.
“But the fluffier and more lion-like he looks the more we groom him, which I really enjoy.
Simba despises water, but he is such a gentle soul that despite his dislike of it, he still lets us do anything we need to do in the bathtub by simply sitting there with the saddest expression on his face.

“Thankfully, he enjoys being dried and combed; nevertheless, the drying and brushing portions of grooming frequently cause him to nod off.
“If we don’t keep up with his grooming, he quickly becomes quite matted or his hair is discovered all over the home.
Simba travels everywhere with us.
He is also a crafty and smart jellybean thief. Although he’s forbidden from eating them, he truly adores jellybeans and is like Sherlock Holmes when it comes to tracking them down.

Simba gets a four-hour beauty treatment every six weeks, which includes the following in addition to a 10-15 minute brushing three times a day to keep his coat clean and healthy:
• Brushing, combing, and blow-drying his coat.
• Using shampoo, whitening agents, coat builders, and conditioner when washing and bathing;
• Blow drying
A complete body comb and a finishing brush for fluff
