The cunning coonhound seemed a little depressed after getting his head wedged within a rigid metal automobile wheel.
When the lively dog found himself in the perilous situation of trying to move with the heavy metal wheel and tire trapped securely over his floppy ears, concerned veterinarians alerted firefighters.

The Butte-Silver Bow fire department in Montana sent out a quick response rescue unit, and the team knew precisely how to solve Blaze’s problem: with a lot of coconut oil and sheer force.
Blaze has since gone to the fire department’s headquarters to express his gratitude.

Fire Marshal Brian Doherty received a call from a veterinary hospital indicating they had a patient in an unusual situation and needed to dispatch a rescue crew.
The owner only left the dog alone in his yard for a few hours before returning home to find him in this perilous situation, the fire department wrote on Facebook.

“Blaze’s head was quickly and successfully freed from the wheel without the use of equipment but with Firefighter Zach Osborne’s brute strength and a lot of coconut oil, patience, ear tucking, and vigorous skin-pulling.”
Blaze remained silent during the event and maintained his composure, cool, and collected.
