Jem, who is ten years old, always appears to be in trouble. Sheffield resident and loyal owner of Jem Philip Strafford said: “I was very stunned. Although I was aware that dogs might develop cancer, I never imagined that they could develop breast cancer.
We were simply playing one day because she enjoys lying on her back and having her belly tickled when I discovered this enormous golf ball-sized lump. After examining her, they discovered a second cluster of lumps down her breast, and they informed me that they should immediately perform surgery in case it was breast cancer.

The lumps were sent out for additional testing after four hours of operation.
Thank goodness Jem didn’t have to undergo any grueling radiotherapy or chemotherapy because his cancer was low-grade.
In addition to removing the tumors, the veterinarians were able to spay Jem, ensuring she won’t experience any relapses.

Philip, a dog lover, fell in love with Jem and acquired her when she was seven years old, but since she wasn’t a puppy, he forgot to have her spayed.
“I didn’t want to put her through the procedure, but I’ve since learned that female dogs who haven’t been spayed run a very high risk of developing breast cancer.”

“I’d do it all over again to save Jem,” he declared. “She is a member of my family, and I care deeply about her.”
“I’m overjoyed to have my little companion back by my side once more.”
