A King Charles spaniel from Coventry named Copper weighed a heavy 16.9kg, which is almost a stone more than he ought to have.
The 6-year-old was roughly double the size of a typical King Charles spaniel and had a diet loaded with sweets, which caused him to gain weight quickly.

“When we ate, we would feed him chunks of cheese or ham; he would always be there searching for leftovers or tiny bits of food.”
“All the tiny things that you can’t help yourself from doing. When I had some food, he would come up and give me that look that makes it impossible to refuse.”

The Waist Watchers method, which entails monitoring the size of the overweight pet, creating a feeding schedule, and scheduling regular exercise, helped the thick spaniel lose weight.

“We entirely stopped giving him sweets, started feeding him Hills diet food, and increased his exercise”, according to Lyn.
A dramatic metamorphosis has brought Copper’s weight down to 11.9kg, or just under two stone.
