You would surely want to know and connect with someone if you met someone who looked like you. This story demonstrates how animals and people both experience this impulse.

Betty was out walking with her dog, Roger. They were quickly taken by a dog that had a remarkable resemblance to Roger. She stopped and turned to look at the stranger more closely because such a coincidence could not have passed unnoticed.
To help adoptable pets find new homes, volunteers organized an adoption event at a farmer’s market. The dog Bisty was there for a walk.

Only their gender differentiated Bisty and Roger from one another.
Betty had no intention of getting a second dog, but her opinion has already altered when she met Bisty. She fell in love with the puppy straight away, and Roger didn’t want to give up her twin.

They became friends immediately. Two dogs who seem to be similar to one another now live with Betty and her fiance.
