Danny and Ron’s Rescue is a nonprofit organization run by Ron Danta and Danny Robertshaw out of their house in South Carolina. They provide care for several dogs in need of a second chance.
Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta have dedicated their entire lives to dogs.

The South Carolina-based pair met because they both like animals. Equestrian trainers by trade, Danta and Robertshaw first met at a horse event and later discovered they had a love of dogs.
The pair saved some 600 dogs caught in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina thanks to their shared love of rescuing animals and their tendency to “go in with both feet,” as they put it.
Following this selfless deed, Danta and Robertshaw decided to dedicate their lives to canine rescue and established the charity organization Danny & Ron’s Rescue.

Prior to starting the foundation, Danta and Robertshaw paid for the care of their rescue dogs out of pocket, taking out home equity loans and withdrawing from retirement funds to provide the animals with the necessary treatment.
The couple adds that Danny & Ron’s Rescue makes a “Lifetime Promise” to every dog, guaranteeing that they will never again be abandoned on the streets, housed in a shelter, hungry, or unhappy. They won’t ever be left alone again. Each dog is saved and brought into our house, not a shelter far from us.

“We attempt to find them permanent homes where they can receive more individualized attention than we are able to give at our house since we have so many of them, but we still love them as our own.”
At the moment, Danny & Ron’s Rescue is home to about 128 dogs who were rescued from abuse cases, overcrowded shelters, abandonment, and other distressing circumstances. When the dogs arrive at the rescue, joy takes center stage in their life.
