Together with National Mill Dog Rescue, North Shore Animal League America was able to rescue 57 dogs from a Missouri commercial breeding operation.

“The FDA contacted our good friends at National Mill Dog Rescue to inform them that the plant was closing due to health concerns. The conditions of the animals in the facility were appalling when they arrived. Our team was able to return to North Shore Animal League America with 57 animals, all of which will receive a second chance at life “Rescue team leader Ted Moriartes stated.

The rescue group noted that the rescue dogs have a promising future. Although some of the puppies are undersocialized, the canines are in generally good condition despite their time in the puppy mill. Many of the dogs were matted, filthy, and in need of love when they were brought to the sanctuary. NSALA intends to handle every aspect of it.

NSALA intends to place the dogs and puppies from the Missouri facility up for adoption after they have recovered. Keep an eye on the NSALA website if you’re interested in adopting one of the dogs.
