Foster children usually experience great vulnerability and can be abandoned for years. But an unexpected hero makes sure that this heartwarming tale has a happy ending. Being raised in poverty and having to live on the streets made Peter’s own adolescence in Uganda difficult.
He recognized, however, that it was his responsibility to repay the favor and join the foster care system after being saved and welcomed into a loving household. Peter decided to look into fostering in Oklahoma in 2017.
He was first concerned that, as a single man, he would not be a good fit when he visited a nearby agency. Despite his reservations, he registered and successfully completed the necessary training to become a foster parent. Tony, a little boy whose previous adoptive parents had abandoned him in a hospital, was there when he met him. They are the ideal father-son team, according to Peter, and they were meant to be together.
He now holds American citizenship. He is content, thankful, and optimistic. He claims that his new child, who is only 13 years old, is extraordinarily intelligent and well-read. He goes on to talk about how funny his son is and how much he enjoys playing video games, riding his bike, and traveling.
