These five loyal Californian friends have stood in front of Copco Lake for the same photograph for almost 40 years. They used to recite it repeatedly while seated at a range and carrying an empty bottle and hat.
The most recent shooting occurred five years ago this year, and nothing could stop them from coming to observe their amusing and unusual tradition. They now have 9 photos covering the years 1982 through 2022 as a result.
They are transforming into senior citizens before your own eyes, thus it has symbolic significance.
According to CNN, these five high school grads adopted a position while using the automatic timer. Since then, they have made it their favorite tradition.
They have since made it a point to return to their favorite spot every five symbolic years. Each of the friends went on to become successful professionals in their following lives. A talented photographer, a programmer, a former Air Force man, and others are among them.
After their well-known photo series became viral, the actual guests reported that they were so easily recognized by them that they stopped and stared at them.
Naturally, this is because they host guests at their lovely home so frequently. But most recently, when they showed up for their most recent shot, they had problems with one of their friends.
The others thought that since one of them was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment, there would be 1 empty seat in the image. Fortunately, everything worked out just well, and they are already looking forward to the next upcoming situation.
