Leia was always an independent pet who valued each member of the family in their own special manner. Unexpectedly, they discovered that Leia’s relationship with her father is her strongest one. Shortly after her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, Katie’s father received a cancer diagnosis.
The man went to the hospital and they kept him there for many days. When Katie’s mother arrived home from the hospital, she was alarmed to see Leia seemingly abandoned.
She waited patiently for “dad” to come back besides the door with her head bowed.
After a while, Katie’s father thankfully returned home, and Leia couldn’t contain her excitement! The two were very happy with their touching reunion. Katie talked to her parents and decided to leave Leia with them because she travels a lot.
She and her father also enjoy a good relationship.
