Two young cats found comfort with the house cats while in foster care. They placed them under their wing, as they had done with other kittens welcomed by their owner. Help was urgently needed for two female kittens left to fend for themselves.

In addition to Stella (tabby dress), her slightly taller sister Luna (black dress) also needed special attention. These 5 to 6 week old puppies were entrusted to IndyHumane, an Indiana-based organization.

The association’s foster mother, Jennifer, took care of them. In spite of Stella’s injuries, she was immediately charmed by these young cats who were full of good humor. As a result of antibiotics and treatments, his health gradually improved. It didn’t take Luna long to become very active.

She was careful not to push her sister, as if she knew she was still vulnerable. After Stella healed, she became almost as vibrant as before. Bodie and Bear, Jennifer’s cats, are always big brothers to the kittens she adopts. When Stella and Luna were able to meet them, they did the same.
