There was no attention paid to the box next to the road. The passersby weren’t interested in her because they didn’t think she was worth their attention. Some people, however, did not think so, and they nevertheless looked inside. As it turned out, the box wasn’t full of things or even empty. A dog and several adorable puppies sat inside it, curled up in a ball of fear.
Sandy was the name of the dog. She looked emaciated and frightened, and she had obvious health problems. Sandy probably hasn’t eaten in days. In addition to fleas, the puppies itched constantly.
They were taken out of the box and taken to an organization that helps homeless animals to be cared for. Unfortunately, one puppy died during the trip. The rest of the children and their mother were taken to the veterinarian for further examination.
Sandy was initially suspicious of those who wanted to help her. Even as she tried to stay away, she trembled. After a few days, she realized that she had nothing to fear and allowed herself to be touched. As the fear subsided, she stopped running away. Various medicines and procedures were prescribed by veterinarians for all the puppies and their mothers, in order to improve their health. The puppies also showed skin problems in addition to exhaustion.
After a few days, one of the volunteers noticed Sandy wagging her tail. Now, she rejoiced at the sight of people, which means she trusted them more.
The puppies recovered quickly, gained weight, and had an appetite. They have grown and their fur has become smooth and shiny. They look much healthier now. As the kids have become more active, they are already playing with each other and the workers. Now Sandy, along with the puppies, awaits loving owners who will take them in and make them part of their family.
