When Indiana Department of Transportation litter crews were cleaning a highway in Indiana, they discovered an unexpected, but lovely find.

On the side of the road, members found a little dog who was alone as they cleared up rubbish. They took a few photographs with the pooch before getting him to safety. The photographs were posted on Social Media websites and shelter pages by the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Its parents were reunited with the puppy after it was saved. According to one of the crew members, the puppy has been taken home and will be examined for a microchip as soon as possible. It is unclear whether the puppy belonged to someone and was abandoned, or if it was born a stray. Then everything became clear. Due to his protection, he should be able to live for some time without food or drink on the side of the road. As a result, he is now safe and out of harm’s way, which is fortunate since he would not have lived much longer without food or water.

If the puppy does not have a microchip and no owner is found, he will either be put up for adoption or adopted by a team member. Therefore, thank God, he is so lucky!
