The lost dog that was brought into the police station has since started working there.

Tate, the dog was discovered wandering the streets of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with no sign of its owner. Tate was soon “arrested” and taken back to the station after a Good Samaritan made the decision to call the police.

For the normal scofflaw pup, this situation could be stressful, but not for Tate. He kept his composure. and still more.

According to a Chippewa Falls Police spokeswoman, “He fit in extremely nicely.”
Tate made the decision to give himself a position at the station, that of greeter, whilst the police searched for his owner.

He hopped up to the visitor window and offered his services for any obligation. The spokeswoman remarked, “I thought it was very humorous.”

Tate received a lot of pets, despite the fact that he was not given a badge. The spokesman said, “We all love having the dogs stop by so we can offer them some water, food, and of course some back rubs.”

Tate seemed anxious to join the force, but ultimately it wasn’t meant to be. It’s not all terrible news, either.

The police spokeswoman exclaimed, “The dog was returned to his owner!” and added, maybe with a hint of nostalgia for their former coworker:

“Having him here with us was wonderful.”
