The media has often focused on Jim Carrey’s eventful private life as a comedian and actor. Although he has been married twice and has been in numerous romantic relationships, he only has one biological child, Jane, from his first marriage.

Melissa Womer, a former waitress, and Jim Womer married in 1987, and their daughter Jane was born soon after.

As Jim’s career flourished, his marriage to Womer began to suffer, and their once-peaceful life became filled with arguments. As a result of Jim’s Hollywood success, Womer became frustrated with his failure to fulfill his responsibilities as a husband and father.

They eventually divorced, and Jim gave Womer custody of Jane, along with a million-dollar settlement. During the divorce, Jim struggled with his mental health, and he invited her to attend his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony despite his mental health troubles.

In 2012, Jane competed on American Idol in hopes of making a name for herself in the music industry. Despite losing in the second round, she acknowledged that it’s difficult to break free of her father’s shadow as a solo artist.

Jim and Jane collaborated on a variety of projects, including Jim’s children’s book, “How Roland Rolls”, and the soundtrack for “Dumb and Dumber 2”. Jane appeared on the television show “Catfish” in 2018.

The Carrey Band is Jane’s band, where she pursues her passion for music. The couple had a son named Jackson Riley while she was married to Alex Santana, the lead singer of Blood Money. Their marriage ended after only 11 months.

Despite the difficulties that come with being the child of a public figure, Jane has a wonderful relationship with her father.
