Cupcake was born with deformed limbs due to a disability. Fortunately, the hind legs straightened out over time. In spite of this, the front legs are still twisted and turned outward.

Jenia Kay Meyer took in Cupcake when she was five weeks old, and she and her husband nursed her every day. She was cared for and bottle-fed by them. Besides these two wonderful guardians who loved and looked after Cupcake, she also had another one. The caretaker was an unexpected helper. Bo was the dog of the couple who adopted the calf. The moment he saw Cupcake, he fell in love with her and took care of her constantly.

The two have become inseparable, and Bo is always next to the calf. Cupcake is Bo’s baby. Bo licked all the milk off Cupcake’s face when she first started drinking from a bottle, and he took every precaution to look after her. Bo was originally adopted by the couple as a herding dog. In spite of this, the dog got sick every time he got into the truck. Bo never became a herding dog, but he decided to help his family in a different way. Calf care became his calling.

Cupcake has become Bo’s loyal protector, and they constantly cuddle and play together. Currently, Cupcake’s family is raising money to cure her and give her an operation that might help her straighten her legs. It is possible to cut and repair her tendons. This should be discussed carefully with the veterinarians, since Cupcake may not benefit from this operation.

Bo and Cupcake try to make the most of their time together by playing and having fun. They are provided with the best conditions for a comfortable life by their owners.
