The 22-year-old Dominique Montgomery from California weighed approximately 290 pounds.

She nearly drowned two years ago while swimming in the sea. The woman couldn’t get out of the water at high tide because of her extra weight.Dominique said that her friends managed to get ashore. She was too heavy to climb the rocks and escape.I was scared and thought I was going to drown. As the tide ended quickly, the water gradually began to recede,” Montgomery said.

In addition, the woman said she had never been concerned about being overweight. No food was off limits to her, even “a burrito the size of her head.”Hunger overtook her constantly. As a teenager, Dominique stopped fighting the problem, and by 19 she already weighed 265 pounds. As a result of an incident on the beach, Dominique decided to radically change her lifestyle:”What is the point of my life if I cannot get out of the water?” Disappointment and shame filled my heart. “I realized what a terrible shape I was in.”Initially, Montgomery walked more, then ran regularly, and tried to eat less.

Dominique lost 140 pounds through exercise and proper nutrition in a year and a half. The woman is now saving up for an operation to remove excess skin from her stomach, but there is still a lot of excess skin left.”I’ve already lost 140 pounds!” Now I have new goals. Dominique said on Instagram: “I’m going to tell everyone how important it is to not be overweight, to live a healthy lifestyle.”
