In the animal world, young females frequently reject their newborn offspring since their maternal instincts are still inactive.
The cubs either die in these circumstances or are fortunate enough to find new guardians who will be able to care for them in the future. The mother left the baby donkey at a shelter in Britain. The child was fortunate to discover not only loving carers but also a new mother.
The donkey, named Ben, was born and was able to stand up within a few hours.

This rate of development is imprinted in the DNA of herbivores so that they can escape predators and follow the herd. On the contrary, Ben’s mother showed no compassion for the baby and paid no attention to his cries.
Then, the staff members of the shelter decided to feed Ben on their own.

Every four hours, they gave him water and blended baby food with milk, but even a well-fed baby screamed because he missed his mother. Jingles, a donkey from a nearby farm, then came to offer help. Jingles felt sympathy for Ben as the donkey yelled and gave him a gentle head nudge.
This happened on the third day after birth, and a week later they were playing and running together.

The donkey was always close and behaved like a protective mother, watching over Ben and making an effort to keep him safe from any kind of danger.
According to the staff at the shelter, who are friendly and easy to get along with, Ben grew up to be a jolly and sympathetic donkey.
